RECENT RARE BIRDS IN THE COASTAL BEND AREA

CATTLE TYRANT- Continues daily in Corpus Christi. Most recent report 1/10.

KELP GULL- Last report 1/6 on the beach (Corpus Christi)

ICELAND (THAYER'S) GULL- Adult continues in the Corpus Christi area (1/9).

BLACK SCOTER- As many as 40 different individuals in the Rockport and Corpus Christi area. Most recent report 1/10.

SURF SCOTER- 2 birds continue in the Rockport area (1/9) and a single bird in Corpus Christi (1/10).

SAY'S PHOEBE- Multiple birds continue in the Corpus Christi area (1/10).

ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD- At least 3 birds continue in the Corpus Christi area (1/10).

EASTERN TOWHEE- A single bird has been reported off and on in the Rockport area (1/9).

TENNESSEE WARBLER- Single bird continues in Port Aransas (1/9).

CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER- Last report in Corpus Christi area on 1/6.

 

RIO GRANDE VALLEY

GRAY GULL- Last report from Brownsville 1/6.

HERMIT WARBLER- Continues in the Brownsville area (1/8).

GRACE'S WARBLER- Continues in the Brownsville area (1/8).

MOTTLED OWL- Continues at Santa Margarita Ranch daily (not accessible on my tours, 1/9).

BROWN JAY- Continues daily at Santa Margarita Ranch (not accessible on my tours, 1/10).

DUSKY-CAPPED FLYCATCHER- Several birds scattered in the RGV (1/10).

TROPICAL PARULA- Several birds scattered in the RGV (1/9).
